✸✸ Blurb ✸✸

When I was nineteen, I left Texas and my dysfunctional family behind, and I haven't looked back. Life was good for a while. I joined the Satan's Knights motorcycle club and immersed myself in art. The kind of art that requires a gun and a body as a blank canvas. But all good things must come to an end, and I soon found myself as a single father, struggling to find my place in a new charter. Now my estranged mother wants me to come home, which means facing my past. And that doesn't just include my family. It also includes the childhood friend I left behind. All grown up and pissed as hell, Bess is giving me one hell of a cold shoulder. I'm not the Ryan Perry she remembers, and she sure as hell isn't willing to get to know Needles, the man I am now. With her fancy clothes and her holier-than-thou attitude, she's creeping under my skin and filling my head with impure thoughts. I need to get back to New York before I get hooked on something I'm not supposed to have, or worse, start believing that this is my Rite of Passage.

✸✸ Review by Barbara ✸✸

OH MY GOSH, what an amazing read. I have not read all of this series but after reading Rite of Passage, I jumped right on AZ and one-clicked those babies to catch me up today. That is just how exciting and engaging I found Rite of Passage to be. I mean it had single dad struggles, family struggles, possible 2nd chance at a romance (sadly we have to wait until the continuation of Needles story which luckily for us reader is coming out soon by Khloe Wren). Kudo’s to the author for a well-written storyline that kept me entranced from start to finish.

Ryan “Needles” Perry left home at 19. Estranged from his parents, he leaves Texas for New York and joins the Satan's Knights MC. There he has found a home and his passion for art as a tattoo artist. But shortly after joining the club, he finds out he’s a single father when his daughter’s mother leave his little girl with him and takes off; Leaving both father and daughter struggling to move onward together. Then his father passes away and Needles life changes once again. While he and his daughter are in Texas for the funeral, he meets up with the brothers of the local MC chapter that The Satan's Knights are associated with as well as his high school flame, Bess. He and Bess reconnect for one night of passion. It’s a night that lingers in his mind for weeks after he returns to New York but they agreed to one night and one time only. But when Beth calls him and there is trouble back home, Needles has to make another life decision. Does he go back to Texas or stay in New York. His life, job and brothers are in New York, but his family, Bess and new MC friends are in Texas. AHHHHHH I can’t wait to see what happens?

This is an Awesome MC prequel read. I Highly recommend it!. 2 Thumbs and 5 Stars.
