Title: Desperately Seeking Roommate
Author: Micalea Smeltzer
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: April 26, 2019

 1.     Don’t be a smoker. That’s gross.
2.     Don’t be a jerk. I have no time to deal with your mood swings.
3.     Clean up after yourself. Is it really so hard to put dirty clothes where they belong?
If you meet these qualifications, call me.
Desperately Seeking Roommate

When I put the ad in my university’s newspaper, the last thing I ever expect is for the star football player to respond.
From what I know of him, Abel Russo is a womanizer and an absolute jerk.

Sadly, he’s the only thing stopping me from being evicted by my annoyingly gleeful landlord.

It should be easy enough—there’s no chance we’ll fall for each other. But then he gives me lingering looks, and I might just be looking back.

All I wanted was a roommate, but I’m about to get so much more than I bargained for.

Abel’s lips turn up but he doesn’t take his eyes off the road. “Like what you see, Blondie?”
My cheeks redden at being caught, but I stick my chin haughtily into the air unwilling to cower at being called out. “Maybe there’s a bug on your face.”
That smile of his widens. “There’s not.”
“So confident,” I mutter, crossing my arms over my chest and staring out the windshield.
“Why wouldn’t I be? You kissed me.”
“I kissed you back, big difference.” I kick my flip-flops off and rest my bare feet on the dashboard.
“Kissing back is still kissing.”
“Ugh,” I toss my hands up, “you’re impossible.”
“Impossibly handsome? Charming? Irresistible? All three? Definitely all three.” He answers his own question.

I must admit I laughed out loud the entire time I read Desperately Seeking Roommate. Kudos to the author for giving us one Hilarious storyline that flowed from scene to scene. The characters are a hoot and so well defined you will feel like you’ve known them for years.

Lou, is a unique college girl. She’s sassy, smart, independant, knows her own worth and loves pink (especially pink starburst). But Lou is desperately in need of a roommate, since they’ve raised her rent and she can’t afford her place on her own and the rent is done soon. So she puts an ad in the University’s newspaper, lining out some of her many rules.
Abel Russo, the womanizing star of the football team answers her ad. He’s Mr. Popular who everyone knows and hangs around. She is quirky, has a couple of close friends and is basically a nobody on campus. Lou lives her life in her own quirky was and doesn’t care what other people think. If any two people were totally opposites, it’s Lou and Able. But then again, you know how that old saying goes, that opposites attract.

Watching these two interact is not only hilarious, it’s heartwarming and very down to earth/realistic. I highly recommend grabbing it up asap. 2 Thumbs up for a terrific RomCom.

One book that will have you laughing out loud. These two leading characters are amazing together, but add in the friends and you have a story that will both entertained and melting at the same time. Seeking a roommate before she loses her place because of a rent increase, Lou places an ad with some pretty straight forward rules. Little does she know, the answer to her prayer's (and ad) come in the form of the star quarterback of her school's football team. Abel is gorgeous and has the reputation of being a womanizer. Yep, one and done is what they say. Ok, so it may be a bit true but all of those women know he isn't looking for a relationship. It's football and school! He's focused on his future and not a serious girlfriend. Although, his new roommate does begin to make some changes in his feelings on that matter. She funny, smart and beautiful. They say big things come in small packages, and Lou is one mighty stick of dynamite!

Great story, great characters and one wonderfully entertaining read! I highly recommend this book.

Author Bio

Hi. I’m Micalea. Ma-call-e-uh. Weird name, I know. My mom must’ve known I was going to be odd even in the womb. I’ve written a lot of books. Like a lot. Don’t ask me how many, I don’t remember at this point. I have an unhealthy addiction to Diet Coke but I can’t seem to break the habit. I listen to way too much music and hedgehogs have taken over my life. Crazy is the word that best sums up my life, but it’s the good kind of crazy and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
