The Break-up Bet - Release Blitz with Reviews

Title: The Break-Up Bet
Author: Cat Carmine
Genre: Standalone Romantic Comedy
Release Date: January 31, 2019

Blurb

Never make a bet with a man who plays to win...

Especially not a man like handsome, arrogant Connor Pratt.

AKA the huge PITA who’s currently crashing in my spare room.

AKA my brother’s best friend since they were about six.

AKA the one guy who still makes me feel like an awkward tongue-tied loser.

But when Connor moved in, I got a glimpse of another side of him. Because, like me, Connor’s going through a nasty break-up. And, like me, he’s just doing whatever he can to get through it.

Unfortunately, his method involves drinking alarming amounts of whiskey and watching a lot of, um … movies … that make every inch of my skin flush.

I’m just trying to be helpful when I tell him that he should try my way: copious amounts of baked goods, sappy romantic comedies, and late nights spent whining with girlfriends.

But I should have known Connor would take that as a challenge.

Now, he says he’ll try my way of dealing with a break-up … but only if I agree to try his. Six months rent to the person whose method works best.

We call it the break-up bet. And I’m going to win. Except right now, it feels like there’s a whole lot more at stake than just rent money…

Review by Barbara

What a fun book to read. It’s Flirty, Sassy, Funny and Romantic all rolled up into one. I simply adored this book from start to finish. It was a total break of fresh air as I giggled all they through it.

The characters are so much fun, both the main and the secondary ones (which by the way I pray Kyle, Tess, Olivia, Sam and Kennedy get their books as well  - hint hint Ms. Carmine). This group of friends are so well written to the point you feel like you are a part of their lives. The antics will keep you laughing, everything from the cartoon food unmentionables to the crazy bet Lucy and Conner go about getting over their exes. I don’t want to go into too much detail because spoiling this for anyone would be a crime.

2 Thumbs up for a laugh out loud storyline that will having you smiling throughout. I you some humor with your romance books, I highly recommend grabbing up “The Break-up Bet”. You will be very glad you did

Absolutely charming, funny, sweet and adorably quirky; this book combines all of these and bring you a read that you will find hard to put down. You will definitely wear a smile on your face the entire time you read this story of a food blogger (Lucy) who has a passion for desserts and Conner, her brother's best friend. The two are fresh out of break-ups and Lucy needs a roommate...Conner needs a place to stay for a little while. Oh what fun will be had as the sexual tensions builds and their attraction grows.

The characters are wonderfully written and are so very loveable that you will find yourself cringing over Lucy's awkward moments but laughing at the same time. You can't help yourself from cheering for them.

Totally entertaining, absolutely enjoyable. I cannot recommend this book high enough. If you want a light read that will lift your spirits and tickle your funny bone..get this book!

Author Bio

Cat Carmine writes contemporary romance and romantic comedy. She also happens to like drinking wine, eating cake, buying too many books, and snuggling with her elderly cocker spaniel (oh, and her husband too.) She loves — and writes — books with sweet and sarcastic heroines and strong, sexy heroes who like a little bark with their bite. She thinks witty banter is the best kind of foreplay, and she tries to infuse all her stories with heart, humor and heat.
