What a fabulous conclusion to the duet. Over Hard takes up rights where Over Easy (Book 1) ends. The author continues with this wonderful storyline with absolutely no drop off in humor, romance or suspense. If anything she steps things up keeping the reader engrossed in the story.

Harper has just found out Jack lied to her and feels like her life is crumbling around her. Between Jack’s lies and her ex stalking her she is at her wits ends. On the other end of things Jack is going out of his mind without her. When Harper is forced to see Jack because he’s keeping her friends twins they finally have a chance to talk things out. From here the story takes off and oh what a wildly delicious ride it is.

The author’s words will have you laughing, your toes curling and at time wanting to bite your nails as the storyline unfolds. Between both their crazy ex’s, Jacks dysfunctional family and Harpers wacky friends this is an amazing duet that I highly recommend. 2 Thumbs Up for a fun, sexy exciting read!

I loved this book! Continuing with Harper and Jack's story, tying up loose ends, answering questions and bringing a bit more excitement and drama into it, it brings their story to a close. (I still want to know what's up with Riley though...I'm thinking another book???? )

When we slammed into that wall of a cliffie in the first book, we now pick up from there and find that communication would have saved everyone a whole lot of grief. But it wouldn't make for good reading if they did that, right? No, Jack's unexpected guests at his restaurant throws Harper for a loop and sends her running, right into her ex, who may or may not be holding a gun. It's pouring so hard and her heart is breaking and pounding so hard that she's not sure what she sees anymore, all she knows is that she has to get away from him and Jack. But when Jack calls out to her, her ex disappears. Making it into her car, she leaves Jack standing in the pouring rain, and her tears fall just as fast as the raindrops. Her friends step in, console and advise. OMG, even Rosa steps in and takes Harper and Riley into her apartment and "dolls" them up. A can of hairspray, a ton of makeup and she has Harper ready to go. While she works on Riley, a knock at her door has her sending Harper to answer it. JACK. He's done giving her space and they need to talk. She needs to hear him out.

Things are seeming back to normal, when after a horrible experience at his parent's house that causes Jack's siblings to both quit their jobs with their father's firm, Jack's mother shows up at Harper's house..she's left her husband. What more can possibly happen? Now it is up to Jack to not only take care of his mother, but his daughter and her b*tch of a mother, his restaurant AND the overseeing of the new one that he is opening up. Oh and he also has to deal with Harper's ex. But, Jack isn't the one who takes on the bulk of those responsibilities, Harper does.

Will Jack ever realize that he is more like his father than he thinks? HHMMMMMM. Sometimes it takes something major to open one's eyes to what they have right in front of them.

I loved this book and did not put it down until I finished it. It is a wonderful story filled with laughs, anger, fear, and so much love. The characters are so relatable and personable that they will embed themselves into your heart.

I highly recommend this book and hope that everyone reads both books, well you kinda have to to understand what is going on in this one. Enjoy!!!

Author Bio

Jessa lives in a very non-descript, unassuming town filled with the best kind of people. Most days, she can be found in the stands of various soccer fields, cheering her on Youngest, or discussing books with her Oldest (who is an English Honors student).

At night, if she’s not up burning the midnight oil, Jessa enjoys snuggling up to her hubby and watching his latest pick for a cheesy romance movie. He always chooses the best ones. (after he cooks supper, of course)
