Kiss My Ash - Release Blitz with Giveaway and Reviews

Title: Kiss My Ash
Author: Leddy Harper
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: August 9, 2018

Blurb

Ash Jenkins was the typical boy next door. Wait, who am I kidding? There was nothing typical about that boy.

He was tall, ripped, and had the voice of a man twice his age. Intelligent, sexy as sin, and barely legal.

Sent to live with his dad after getting in some trouble with the law, he was definitely someone I needed to stay away from.

But he had his sights set on me, and he didn’t try to hide it.

Did it still make me a cougar if I was the prey?

Kiss My Ash is a very well written book, with lots of sparks and excitement. The characters are very well defined and could easily be people we know in our everyday lives, making them very relatable. While I was a little shocked at the this particular age separation, I continued on and found myself enjoying the book.

Kristy meets Asher while moving into her new home and boy to the sparks fly between them. It’s obvious that Asher is much younger than Kristy, she just didn’t realize he was a young as he is; he came across very mature with a very mature attitude in the storyline. Asher really likes Kristy and wants to get to know her. He also knows if she finds out he’s not 18 yet, she won’t give him a chance to show her he’s not just some silly kid with a crush. So what happens when Asher’s Dad mentions his 17 year old son to Kristy while at a neighborhood party? Better yet what happens when Kristy’s 16 year old daughter Emma confirms Asher goes to her school?

One fact I feel need mentioning before I go any further, is nothing improper happens between Kristy and Asher while he is underage. However, the age difference was still a bit much for me. But for those that don’t mind this type of taboo storyline, I’d highly recommend it. It flows with a great mix of humor and seriousness. For me it was a very good 4 star read.

I believe this is the first time I read anything by this author and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. I'm not really found of huge age gap romances...no matter if they are the older male or female...just not my thing, but this book...well I totally enjoyed read it. Probably because of the personality and character of Ash. He was really quite mature for his age and had a good head on his shoulders.

The story was sweet, funny, heartwarming and heartbreaking. Beautifully written and as entertaining as it was emotion provoking.

I do recommend this book, even if you aren't a fan of age gap reads...maybe this one will be the one to read!

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
