Break the Ice, an all-new standalone
and the conclusion to the hilarious
Bedroom Games series from
bestselling authors Piper Rayne
The Winter Games are over, but the bedroom games are just beginning…
This is about the time I normally hang up my snowboard and chill for a while. Except this year. This year, I’m dealing with what fate dealt me at the Winter Games—nope, not gold. A broken leg.
Since I’m not close to my family, I head to my best friend, Skylar’s pad to recoup. Turns out having your gorgeous, single, sexy friend wait on you hand and foot can blur the lines between friendship and romance.
Which is exactly why I’ve decided to help her find a boyfriend.
Yeah, you heard me right. I’m going to help her comb through every dating app available until she finds the perfect man. What else could remind me of my place in her life more than watching her fall for someone else?
I can deal. I’m used to pushing through pain. I’m an Olympian after all.
She turns around when she reaches her childhood bedroom door. The same room that has pictures of Ben on her corkboard from some dance way back when. The room that holds all her memories of a happy childhood filled with fun, laughter and love. Doesn’t she realize, she has so much?
“You need a date.”
Did that really just come out of my mouth?
I grab her hand and take her into my room, which is really her brother’s childhood room, and sit her down on the bed.
“Yeah, give me your phone.”
She digs it out of her pocket and places it in my palm.
I search the app store and select a dating app.
“What about the more traditional ones?” she asks, leaning over to look at my phone. Her hair tickles my neck, and the scent of her perfume makes my dick twitch in my pants.
“You need a beta, remember?”
I go through her selfies and select one that doesn’t show how truly gorgeous she is. It’s hard to find one though because Skylar doesn’t have any bad pictures.
“I’m not sure about this, Beck.”
I fill out her form for her while she remains silent. Once I’m done, I hand it back over to her and she stares at the screen for a long time.
Our thighs are pressed against one another and I’m fairly sure the electricity running through my body is buzzing through hers, but her gaze is still glued to her phone.
“Okay,” she says, still sounding reluctant.
“Perfect. Now, Terminator.”
She smiles and her lips brush my cheek. “Sorry, for being so needy.”
“It’s the hazard of having girl friends, I suppose.”
“Friend,” I clarify, standing up before my hands and lips listen to the instructions from my dick.
“You’ll help me pick someone out?” she asks.
She walks out of my room, her gaze glued to her phone. I follow with my gaze glued to her ass.

Skylar and Beckett’s story is a fabulous finish to the bedroom games series. The authors have written a wonderful series with characters you can’t help but fall in love with. The comedy and banter they have written into this book are just priceless (from the kids walking in on Beckett in “all” his glory to Skylar’s “dates”) you’ll be smiling and laughing page after page.
The Classic games are over and Beckett has returned to Skylar's home so she can help him get around with only one arm. (As we know he broke his arm in Book 2). These two have been the best of friends for 4 years, the trouble is Beckett wants it to be more but he is afraid he’ll lose her friendship altogether when she finds out what a screwed up mess he is. So when he convinces her she needs to get out there and date, they set out together to find her the right guy. I am not sure who has it worse, Beckett for wanting to ruin the dates or Skylar for having to actually put up with the dates. Thus the laughter and fun in the storyline begins in earnest.
I can’t begin to recommend this series enough. The 3 book series, which concludes with Break the Ice, is packed full of fun, laughs and romance. 2 Thumbs Up and Kudos to the authors, Piper Rayne, for a job well done.

I can't possibly put into words how much I loved this series. Yes the Olympics are over now as I finish the third book, but they were just beginning as I read the first two and I found myself seeing the characters in the books in the faces of the Olympians in skiing and snowboarding. It pulled at me, wondering which would be which character. There was even an interview with a mother and daughter where the mother also coached her daughter in skiing!! Insane, right?? It was GREAT!
This book..this book brings to a close the last of the six friends relationship issues. There are two couples, now it is the couple that everyone knows there is more to than their repeated "we're only friends" line. Everyone sees it, but them. Until they begin to see things a little differently after the games are over and Beckett goes to stay with Skylar to heal up after falling and breaking his arm when he tries to keep her from falling. Well you know how close proximity can get, add a bit of alcohol and OH OH. I'll leave it at that because I really want you to get into this book, this storyline and get all the feels that comes with it. Including want to drop kick Beckett and maybe shake Skylar a bit, but mostly it will be all on Beckett.
I loved these characters (all of them actually). Skylar is an amazing girl. She's smart, sweet, beautiful and an amazing skier, although not earning the top medal has shaken her confidence and wounded her pride, she also feels her clock ticking and is contemplating making a career change. Beckett is his usual self, although with a broken arm it does tend to put a damper on many things, but since he's with Skylar, it has only been the two of them. He's broken, he doesn't believe in relationships, is always afraid that Skylar will leave him, that he's not worthy of her and that she could do better than him, but he doesn't want to lose her either. They are friends and he doesn't want to lose that with her. But if they cross that line, what will happen?
This is an amazing read, an amazing series and one that will have you loving these characters and feel that you are a member of their circle. They have a tight bond and are there for each other, helping even when the one they are helping doesn't want it.
I highly recommend this book and this series! A must read!
