Release Blitz & Giveaway - Whispered Prayers of a Girl

Her whispered prayers break her...

At night, as she’s drifting off to sleep, I press my ear to the door and listen to her heart wrenching pleas to bring her father back. Her words are agony to my healing heart, but I cherish the sound of them, for that’s the only time I ever hear my beautiful daughter speak. Since her father died two years ago, she’s grown quiet and withdrawn. Catalina’s Valley is to be our new beginning, a place where my family and I can heal, but what we find there is so much more.

Scars mar his body. Pain has darkened his life…

Three years ago, I lost the two things I cherished most in the world. They were ripped from my arms in the most painful and cruel way. Since then, I’ve kept to myself, preferring to stay away from the pitying looks and the uttered rumors. Everything changed when she and her children barged into my life. It was an accident, not meant to happen, but I wonder if maybe it was.

A tortured soul meets a damaged heart…

A lonely man, a widowed woman, a carefree boy, and a broken girl… Can the four come together and help heal each other? Or will fear of the unknown and guilt of the past keep them apart?

OMG what an Amazing story. It’s heart wrenching yet heartwarming, tender yet tough, sad yet happy and the list of adjectives just continues. I personally feel it is such a well written book that I don’t see how anyone could possibly read this without feeling all the pain and eventually hope the characters go through, which I have no doubt was the author's aim.

The synopsis to the book is very true to the mark and eling the pain and suffering that Kelsey, her children and Alexander go through will tug on the old heart. However the connection and healing they all go through once they are thrown together due to a snowstorm is beyond beautiful to read.

I don’t want to give too much away so I’ll simply say this is a terrific storyline and a book that I highly recommend. My hats off to the author for one phenomenal read. My only warning is to keep the tissues handy but otherwise this is an absolute must read in this readers humble opinion.

Through pain they are healed. A beautifully written story of tremendous loss and the hard road to healing that leads to a second chance at love for four people. One has lost his everything, his entire family, the other three lost the foundation of their family, the man of the house. But a chance meeting years later slowly begins the healing that they all need, and that two deserve.

The characters are well written and well defined. The lead male, Alexander is handsome but scarred, tortured and immensely grief and guilt ridden. The pain of his loss torments him and the scars he bears have led into reclusiveness. Gwen is sweet, gentle, beautiful and has suffered a loss of her own, but she also has two small children, one of which carries the pain of her loss very heavily and does not talk, until at night when she slips from her bed and whispers her prayer.

The healing slowly begins with a rescue and days spent together between the little family and Alexander. Slowly they begin to crawl into each other's hearts, but it's a scary thing and one that Alexander fights as best he can, only to return again and then push them away. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes it's a whispered prayer that starts that healing.

Beautifully written story and I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
