Synopsis:

Angelica Hock is the preacher’s daughter, and that’s all she’s ever been known as.

Her life has already been planned out for her, right down to what college she’ll attend and what her major will be. Which is inconsequential, since she’s expected to marry a man of her parents’ choosing, bear his children, and be a stay-at-home mother.

A trip to the wrong side of town puts her in the middle of a living nightmare when she’s saved by a dark knight. He makes her feel things she never dreamed possible. But reality slaps her in the face when she learns he’s no different from anyone else.

Taking matters into her own hands, she buys a one-way ticket to Reno—new town, new friends, new life. She even decides to change her name.

Torq is a member of the Rough Riders and not a man to mess with.

Having a drink at Bottoms Up—a strip club his MC owns—he sees Angel dance for the first time. Only she turns out to be the girl he saved from being sold as a sex slave; she’s the preacher’s kid. But she’s not like he remembered, which only makes him want her more.

When someone comes into town with a grudge, Angel will be put in the line of fire, because everyone knows the best way to hurt your enemy is to hurt the person they care about the most.

He’s already saved her once, but he’d gladly go to hell and back to do it again.

REVIEW BY BARBARA:

OMG this book is so amazing! The author has written an awesome storyline with characters you can’t help but fall in love with: the innocent preacher’s daughter and the biker who is the ultimate bad boy! Wait let me correct that: Torq is a good man on the inside but as the “enforcer” for his MC club, he does “bad things”, necessary things, but still bad. He knows he should walk away from her, knows she pure and innocent and that he is not good for her but can he? Angelica is a strong girl that is determined to live her life her way. The night she meets Torq, she is grateful he saves her from a man who had grabbed her and meant her harm, but she is hurt when Torq labels her like everyone has her entire life without even knowing what she’s really like on the inside. Her pride has her walking away from him and not looking back. But what happens when they chance meet again? She is still hurt and angry but will she hear him out? Will she let him into her life or walk away again?

I didn’t like the cliffhanger ending to this book, I so wanted to keep turning pages to find out what happens next, but I totally understand the author's reasoning (well once she explained it at the end of the book I understood). 2 Thumbs Up for a great start to the series and this reader is anxiously awaiting book 2. I highly recommend 1-clicking The Preacher’s Daughter, you won't regret it.

REVIEW BY AUNDREA:

Woo hoo this is one hot read. This does have a cliffhanger ending, but so worth it. I love the play on good and evil. Torque and Angel are opposites, but made for each other. Angel is a stifled girl just trying to break away from her strict and uncaring family. Torque is a savior in a made for sin body. He releases something in Angel to help her break free. The cat and mouse game for these two to get together had the words flying off the page. I did not want this book to end, looking forward to the next installment.

REVIEW BY KATHY:

Lord have mercy and watch out for that huge cliffie!!! LOL This was a great read! Well written storyline and well defined characters. This is a new kind of storyline from pretty much every MC book I've read. It was interesting, exciting and quite entertaining. Things are going along quite nicely when bam!! You hit that wall and find yourself staring over the edge of the cliff and just know that you have to have...cannot wait...for the next book so that you can reach the other side!
