Meet Sienna Grant


Sienna Grant is a 39 year old married mother of three children from the UK. She loves reading, but her secret passion was to one day write her own book, so when she had to give up work, she decided to put pen to paper and jot down some ideas. After friends had pushed her to go for it, she did just that.

Sienna's Interview with Sexy Sirens

1. When and why did you begin writing?  
Sienna: I used to read all the time but there was something missing, I had an idea in my head and after a little persuasion from an author I went for it.

2. When did you first consider yourself a writer? 
Sienna: When I hit publish but there's days when I still don't.

3. Do you plot out your books on paper? Or seat of your pants?
Sienna: No seat of my my pants I just write down ideas.

4. Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? 
Sienna: My first book was based on some experiences of my own.

5. Do you strictly write one genre? 
Sienna: Just romance at the moment. My first book was contemporary, the one I'm writing is second chance.

5a. Is there a genre you would like to explore but haven’t?
Sienna: I'd like to try dark.

5b. Are there any genres you absolutely would not write?
Sienna: Paranormal/Dystopia

6. What books have most influenced your life?
Sienna: I couldn't pinpoint it, I read a lot when I was young.

7. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
Sienna: Every author I read have got their own style, I consider them all mentors.

8. What book are you reading now?
Sienna: I'm not I'm way too busy with the book I'm writing.

9. What are your current projects?
Sienna: A second chance romance called Soulmates.

10. Do you see writing as a career?
Sienna: Not really I had to give up work and started writing I write for me and if I can make some money it's a huge bonus but not as a career.

11. Is there anything you find particularly challenging in writing? 
Sienna: When you've got a deadline and you hit a wall, and the voices stop talking to you lol. Also the synopsis!!

12. Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Sienna: I really don't have one. 

13. Do you have any advice for other writers?
Sienna: Believe in yourself, if you have an idea, go with it.

14. Which of your books do you like the most?
Sienna: Picking Up the Pieces I hold very close to my heart 1) it was my debut but 2) the topic is a hard one to swallow down. Soulmates is different - more fun.

15. Do you get nervous when you publish a book?
Sienna: Very. My tummy was literally doing somersaults when I hit publish.
